Wade Harper, the founder of AmeriPIE, LLC, started his career in the mid-1980s as a Process Engineer in nuclear weapons where he designed the processes for creating non-nuclear components for nuclear weapons. While a young engineer, Wade learned, and continues to learn, from some of the best. He learned how to create the detailed instructions so anyone on the shop floor could successfully complete the products being built. His success led him to teach the course for Writing Work Instructions to all the process engineers.
Being experienced in process design naturally lead to being trained in the various methods of process improvement. While working for both AlliedSignal and Ford Motor Company, Wade received training by The Six Sigma Academy's Mikel Harry. Wade later was involved in training 600 engineers in Design for Six Sigma while working for Honeywell. After Honeywell, Wade was trained in Lean Six Sigma and worked for The George Group to lead the Lean Six Sigma training across the U.S. Army for Michael George, author of the book Lean Six Sigma,
Wade's almost four decades of experience includes 17 years in Nuclear Weapons, 8 years in pharmaceuticals, 4 years in automotive and 7 years consulting with U.S. Army, Honeywell, Northrop Grumman and more. Wade is a licensed Professional Engineer and certified in Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma. He is certified as a Master Black Belt by The George Group/Accenture and Ford Motor Company.
